Types of Loss

Most problems with the hardware is written below, it is difficult to notice without a professional engineer to check your hardware
.With the information below you can stop the hardware of sudden loss and quickly respond of further data loss.

How to Prevent Losses

Click the reasons of losses and you can see how to prevent them.

Recovery rate of Each symptom

Damage on PCB (100%)

Most are on the front part of the PCB and are made of IC chips, so you have to be careful. Most hard disks do not operate when the PCB is damaged. The most causes of PCB damages are electric shocks. ( Static, impulse voltage, blackouts, etc … )

Scratch (60%)
This specifically means a scratch on the Media of the HDD. In this case, the HDD had a physical shock while running, the HDD` s age, or because of heat. Compared to the other symptoms this is hard to repair.

Bad Spindle Motor (50%)
The spindle motor is what cycles the Media in the HDD. If the HDD does not operate because of this reason more damages can occur to the Media or Head.

Head Stiction(100%)

This is a case of the Head holding the Disk Media to tight. The computer cannot read the HDD. This happens in a humid place or in an hot area.

Broken Partition (100%)
The Partition is located on the first sector of the HDD. It keeps the information of the capacity that the o/s of the HDD manages.

Broken Boot Record (100%)
It is located on the sector next to the partition, and it keeps the information of the logical area of the HDD.

Broken FAT(90%~)

It is located next to the Boot record Sector. FAT(File Allocation Table): It substantially keeps the data of the address value and if damaged the data can collapse or break.

Lose of Data because of Formatting(90%~)

If you Format the HDD the Partition, Boot Record, and the Fat the memory gets deleted but you can save most of the data in the data area.

Error from a Virus (90%~)

There are many kinds of viruses and the rate is different of each kind but most can be restored.

Data Delete (100%)
If not OVERWRITTED after deleting mostly recovery is possible.

Low Level Format(100%)
When Low Level Format, recovery is inpossible.
